Today is the final day at work before a week-long holiday is about to start. The occassion: Eid. Eid-ul-Fitr is its complete name and in Malaysia and Indonesia its known as Hari Raya. It comes after a month of fasting and it signifies the end of the days of trials of Ramadan (the fasting month's name).

While I have been successfully abstaining from food, I have not been able to improve my prayers! I am working, entertaining myself, sleeping, and fasting. Thats it. Which reminds me now to go and pray. So... later...

Two new albums were released from G-Series. Kronic, on the side of alternative music.... and Elephant Road on the side of progressive rock music. Go get 'em.

I know I can hardly wait....

I went to check that epiphone guitar out... it was one of the Les Paul series alright.. but it had bad color and some bad features... damn. Why couldn't they just bring something in black!?!?!

Soon, the album of 'Elephant Road' and 'Kronic' are gonna be released. Looking forward to that. And dreaming constantly of having my own album out someday! SIGH. lol

Ramadan is coming to an end and the traffic is on the rise... make way for the shopping! My parents are gonna come over to stay in my flat for the first time... so should prepare the place... make it neat and stuff... need to plan. hmpf.

Last night was watching a movie, "How to lose a guy in 10 days", and all i could do was think of the bike the "hero" was riding! I've seen bikes before... but last night it was just so marvellous! I was in love and constantly thinking of getting one for myself. The bike was metallic silver with a fatter rear wheen... slim ...

I did tell myself from the start that a motorcycle is off limits for Dhaka. I have a concentration span of the size of a peanut and Dhaka is a jungle... with no laws!!! But.. lets see.. if i find a bike like that i might make an exception.

My cousin just called me and the store where we buy guitars and guitar stuff from has now brought over two Epiphone guitars styled after the Gibson Les Paul series!!!Hurray! I am going over to check them out and maybe place an order... It will be soooooooooooooooooooo coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool!

Turned on tv last nite ...put to BBC to catch some news. Saw a run on an Iraqi bombing of the ongoing war on TERROR. To run an instinct check i switched to CNN. And my hunch was right.. they were busy covering the elections, and then the capture of a 'radical' muslim imam from britain.

Learnt about something new today. Its called CAPTCHA ! hmmm... got linked into it from my yahoo mail account. Was sending out a mail when i was made to enter a word into a text box from an image. This was apparently for security against spam (as i was mailing to one mail group that i belonged to).

CAPTCHA stands for 'Completely Automated Public Turing Test for Telling Computers and Humans Apart'. So what they do is generate an image with a randomly generated word in it. Its difficult for most existing programs to guess the words accurately from its distorted form in the image. But humans easily comprehend the letters and are able to successfully enter the matching word to identify themselves to be 'HUMAN'!

Well this has proved its use mostly in online service providers' domain like online polls, account creation (with email providers for example) and spam protection.

i am really bored... not just today and now.. i am bored now for a few days... and its all building up something inside. What do i do!??!? Is it work? or just lifE? something has gotten me really tired.

hmmm.

Meanwhile, we are doing something called 'Monkey Testing' today. Dinno anything like that existed. Well, i donno much anymore since i have lost my 'reading habbit'. My concentration span has come down to that of 3-4 lines of blog entries or anything else on a website. I have been sitting on a few novels that i wanted to read for ages. Among them are Parthib, Bricklane, and The international jew. hmmm... i don think there will be an update of this status anytime soon... : )

I finally bought a new processor. It cost 25k BD money. ITs a DigiTech GNX3. its kinda bulky and heavy. But its good where it really counts. its got really good preset tones. Especially the bass tones and the acoustic tones are really nice.

I need to spend time reading its manual tho if i ever want to unravel all its powers. Wish me luch coz i hate reading and otherwise, it'll just be a waste of money.

Practice this friday, with my new processor!

ciao.

A baby bat flew into the house last night! I didnt know that once bats landed on the ground, they can't take of again! All the bat would do is crawl on the floor with a spiderman-like motion! and sometimes it would curl up inside its wings. Another friend Zaki then helped it take off by just hurling it out into the open from our balcony. It quickly disappeared into the dark of the night [eerie music plays..] Posted by Hello

This was last night's entertainment. A group brought on by the British Council. We arrived late on the scene and the ticket man sounded very surprised that we still wanted to get in after being 15 minutes late. As i walked through the gates of the auditorium, I saw the group on stage making some strange, almost comic sounds with their intruments. At that moment I thought this was a scam in the name of music! After we sat down it got a bit better. The flute was good, the cello player was good too. The keyboardist played some good stuff. It was a pleasure to watch the xylophone though. I think it was also the first time. Then they did some good fusion music with some local musicians and kid vocalists. It was kinda like watching a bad school performance. hmmmm... but there was promise. In the end I can appreciate their approach to music... going to places over the world and interacting with the musicians, and even kids there.

My cousin bought a sony ericsson phone recently, dunno the model number (I almost never do). I tried out its camera for a while taking aim at everything and anything.

The Sepia toned photographs with the phone. the top two are of and from the cover of Smashing Pumpkins' Adore album. To me that is the best I have seen so far. The next is my cuz's skull ashtray and his glass globe and then is his guitar which is a Les Paul copy (named Kaimax). Posted by Hello
