Y'day, after a long time, Bangladesh had won a match, and it was their first international win on homegrounds and their first victory against India. India came on that day with a new list of players having removed Pathan, Tendulkar and Dravid. It was a chance to victory and i am glad BD didn't miss out on it. This also makes it two days in a row that they have played competitive cricket. Today is the deciding match... LEts pray for the best.

On the night of the 25th i went to bed the only person in the house. So when around 6 am i heard voices from the other room, i thot i had forgotten to lock the entrance to the house and people have snuck in! But it was only my other flatmates who had arrived sometime in the middle of the night. They told me that an earthquake had just passed. They took to the varenda to show me its effect. The water of the lake behind our apartment was in turmoil. It was like someone was stirring it with a spoon. That was the only experience I had with the quake that killed 12000+ people in the Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and India. It is so strange to know that we had just escaped such a fate.

Our Minolta is sooo old.. that everyone forgot where it was kept. Anyways, we did go on a 30man trip to Rangamati (all family) and i did my bit with dad's Sony DSC P7 digital camera. Here are the snaps. The shot of the sunset was not taken by me though, probably my brother or sister. I discovered a few things tht i didn't know was possible with the camera.. by varying the exposure and focus manually.

I head out to Chittagong tonight. Things to remember:
-Get the old manual Minolta camera, clean off the dust, fungus and other things that grew on it, and bring it home to me.
-Buy a roll of black and white film.
-Come back and pick Mushfique's (a.k.a Mosha [which means 'mosquito']) brain that has some knowledge of photography.
-Remembering that this is a temporary arrangement untill i get me a funky digital camera.

I have finally gotten my new guitar... well, its new to me at least! I
guess its proper to say that i have newly acquired an old guitar of
someone else.
Even though it is second hand, its a cool looker and the sound is
great too. Plus it has something that allows you to switch the tuning
of the top E string to a D and vice versa. So you can switch between a
drop-D and the standard tuning! Cool or what!

I surprised a lot of colleagues this morning by being 'on time' for work! well i just remembered what had prespired before that! When i had realized it was morning... i thot like everyday i am late! and then..."what happened to my alarm!?" I checked my phone and it was 7:32 am! And at that moment rest assured that i had not been late as usual and woken up at 9... I almost went back to bed!!!! I had almost not noticed the SNOOZE ACTIVE sign on my phone (Nokia). Once i did, i realized that i had in fact set the alarm for 7:30 and that even though I had not heard the alarm... my sleep somehow broke! I got up fighting a thousand wild horses and got ready for bath. Cheers to me! :)

We have been considering at the office to move to something that will enable us to create more of an interactive environment to the user. A lot of suggestions were thrown in for achieving this Rich Internet Application status... JSF, Flex, using Flash by ourselves etc. But one of them really caught my eye .... Its called 'Laszlo' (talking personally here... It has a lot more hurdles to cross to get elected officially).

I was just listening to Megadeth on my discman and i felt like screaming to the world how great this band is. ITs a shame they don't have marty friedman anymore... the solos he used to come up with... what can i say! he totally has my attention when they come out from the song... And Mustaine ... joooooooooooooosssssssssssssssssssss....
the song when i had the thot is "Skin of my teeth", and then followd (one of) my favorite tracks:

Something is evidently wrong... but its not evident what exactly is wrong. LAst night i managed to format the partition where the OS was... and then the installation went smoothly. It just took me to the first error screen where this sad episode started when i started loading up the programs i use!!!! daaaaaaim.
